Goldsmith Jewelers $50 Giveaway

last night sensei, muse and i attended a red carpet event at Goldsmith Co. Jewelers in provo, utah. (remember them from this post?) there were photographers and yes, there really was a red carpet. it was such a fun blogger night out with the ladies where we learned the seriously cool art of goldsmithing, had hor d'oeuvres, something sparkling in a fancy, fancy goblet, went home with a swag bag filled with goodies and seriously got the VIP treatment. so great to get out and not focus on gavin's adoption trial.

my sweet sensei had never been in a jewelry store. it made my heart hurt a little when she said that. on the way down to the event she told muse and i that she had never even tried on a real diamond. whaaaaaat? i about died. trying on phat, phat diamonds is one of my favorite activities.

as you know, my brother matt works at Goldsmith. last night at the event, i pulled him aside and told him about sensei. i told him she needed the VIP treatment. his exact words were, "linds, all our customers get the VIP treatment, but i will take extra-special care of kim." and he did.


when the mob of bloggers was wearing thin, he pulled us over to their Michael B. collection. he told us how Michael B. is known for his bizarre yellow suits (even showed us a picture and we all laughed) and for his intricate platinum work. he showed us one gorgeous piece after another. (and by showed us, i mean he handed them over to a bunch of drooling women and let us try on and model each one.) it was a nice warm up.



then we moved onto their huge Hearts on Fire collection. matt had us sit down. being my brother, he knows how i get very excited about things and didn't want me passing out. i think my heart actually skipped a beat as i tried on this most exquisite 40 diamond band. sensei was getting emotional.
these diamonds ...dang.
they are stunning.

he had sensei look through the proportion scope to see that the actual cut creates a pattern of hearts and firebursts. they are so sparkly. every woman needs a little evening to herself to try these beauties on. i know from experience that Goldsmith is delighted to sit down with you and let you remember why diamonds are, in fact, a girl's best friend. that's something that i love about this down to earth store ...they are so real. they treat you the same whether you spend $30 or $30K. they aren't stuffy, stuck-up or unrealistic. love that.



i also walked away with another pandora bracelet. it is so fun to collect these. i am telling you. jump on the train, people. muse is addicted too.

the crown ...i think it's self-explanatory why i chose it.
