“The Lord hath anointed me … to give … beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:1, 3).
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us. ...Hope sweetens the memory of experiences well loved. It tempers our troubles to our growth and our strength. It befriends us in the dark hours, excites us in bright ones. It lends promise to the future and purpose to the past. It turns discouragement to determination.
Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come. ~Joseph F. Smith
I SO need one of these shirts! Unfortunately however, I am going to be out of town this Saturday and won't be able to make it to Pistol Pete's. Hopefully you will have another boutique before Christmas and have a 12 month I love my Birth Mom shirt on hand... hint, hint!
Very cute! Our adopted son is the most attentive and observant of our children. I need a shirt that says, "I got my brains from my birth family." Not that my bio kids aren't smart. It's just kind of funny that our parents worried that he wouldn't be as smart as our other kids and he's just amazing. At 3 he can tell me what his Sunday school lesson was about and listens closely enough to the sermon to comment appropriately. Meanwhile I'm still struggling with my 10, 8, and 6 yr olds to listen and take notes. God must have a sense of humor!
I found your blog through a friend of mine's blog. As I started reading I had to wonder if you were Mormon or not, and of course I quickly figured it out. Thanks for all your great stories. I work in adoption and can sometimes get caught up in the frustration of my job but it is good to read about birthmothers and remind me of how much I love my kid's birthmother.

Awesome!
These are great. That brand runs a bit small on my daughter. Any chance you'll be adding a larger size? 3T would be perfect!

I love them! I'll buy one when our baby gets here. (right now we're still saving for that baby)
I am definitely gonna be getting those when we adopt!
